§ As incoming President, present President's Plaque at prior year December meeting to outgoing President and introduce all new officers and Board members. § Make all arrangements for the annual Board retreat. 1. Book the hotel--determine how many guests will be attending 2. Book a Board meeting room for Friday evening and all day Saturday at the hotel. 3. Make Friday evening, Saturday morning, and Saturday lunch meal arrangements. 4. Book the Saturday evening dinner reservation - determine how many guests will be attending. 5. Book the transportation reservations to/from retreat location, if required. Determine how many guests will require transportation. 6. Make transportation arrangements at retreat location if necessary, e.g., shuttle vans to/from hotel, Saturday evening dinner. 7. Prepare the Special Board Meeting Agenda. 8. Prepare the Regular Board Meeting agenda. 9. Prepare Chapter reimbursement notices for all Board members with guests. § Schedule Board meetings, arrange for a meeting location and meal at Board meeting. § Prepare Board meeting agendas. § Prepare President's Message for each monthly RIMSAIL and provide RIMSAIL editor with results of monthly attendance raffle. § Follow up on issues raised at Board meetings and assignments given out to others. § Run membership meetings, including making announcements and pull name for attendance raffle. § Bring Chapter banner, plaques, and cards for attendance raffle to monthly meetings. § Set annual Chapter goals. § Prepare Chapter Recognition packets for: 1. Overall Chapter Excellence 2. Advancing the Risk Management Profession 3. Heart of RIMS; and 4. Assist in preparation of all other categories. § Give direction to all committees. § Chapter contact with RIMS National.
